We have been working in Laos since 2007, where we have built 27 remote schools and high schools in Champasak Province, in the south of the country. We are thus providing education to 4,500 children isolated on the Boloven Plateau in decent and dignified conditions.

The level of education in this country is very low and the material conditions of the schools are disastrous (dilapidated buildings, lack of pedagogical material etc.). Each school built by Mission Enfance receives prior approval from the Education Department of the Champassak Privince. 250 schools still need to be built or renovated on the Boloven Plateau.

Goal

In 2023, we will build two primary schools and add two computer rooms to our high school in Phou Mone, on the Boloven Plateau, in the south of the country. In Laos, hygiene is a fundamental problem to which Mission Enfance tries to answer by a training during the distribution of hygiene kits in the schools. In the same way, we distribute school kits in each of the schools we build, as well as sports equipment.

Below, Inauguration of the 3 schools built by Mission Enfance in 2022 for the children of Laos who also received their school kit and their hygiene kit to continue their education in decent conditions. Special thanks to our partners, Fondation 21 and Fondation Gabrielle, and congratulations to Bounleua Kiatikhema, our local coordinator:
