SUPPORT FOR HYGIENE AND EDUCATION BY BUILDING AND FITTING OUT SCHOOLS COMPUTER TRAINING
Context
We've been working in Laos since 2005, when we built 34 remote schools and high schools in Champasak Province, in the south of the country. As a result, 5,383 children living in remote areas of the Boloven Plateau now receive a decent education.
The level of education in this country is very low, and the material conditions of the schools are disastrous (dilapidated worm-eaten wooden buildings, lack of teaching materials, etc.), with few trained teachers. Each school built by Mission Enfance receives prior approval from the Champassak Province Education Department. 230 schools still need to be built or renovated on the Boloven Plateau.
Goal
In 2025, we will be building two elementary school and adding two computer rooms to two high schools in the Plateau des Boloven, in the south of the country. In Laos, hygiene is a fundamental problem, which Mission Enfance tries to address by providing training when distributing hygiene kits to schools. We also distribute school kits in each of the schools we build, as well as sports equipment.
Given the destitution of the families, we are going to set up a scholarship system to enable students to enroll at Champasak University in Paksé.
