EDUCATION SUPPORT TO OUR EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL LEARNING CENTRE

Mission Enfance has created, and supported for 24 years, a French school in Assayta in the Afar region of Ethiopia. We have trained its teachers, refugees from the Republic of Djibouti, so that they take in hand the future of their school.

A local NGO (DARA, of which Mission Enfance is a partner) is composed of the pupils' parents and our teachers. Most of our pupils come in addition to the Ethiopian school.

 

Goal

This school has now been transformed into a Centre for Cutural and Educational Awakening, offering the children training in hygiene and culture, which are weak points in this very isolated region in the desert. We also use our local team to provide food support to the local population, which is very poor and isolated from any support from the central government in Addis Ababa.
