SUPPORT FOR THE EDUCATION OF ARMENIAN YOUTH

Context

Mission Enfance has been working in Armenia since 1993, date of its independence. The association discovered a closed country with deficient infrastructures and a terribly poor population.

Since 2020, the confinements linked to the pandemic and the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh have added to the misery of the Armenians. We carry out food distributions to displaced families from Nagorno-Karabakh in the north of the country, in Gyumri, via our Boghossian centre, and in Yerevan, via our local coordinator.

Goal

Today, after 30 years of humanitarian actions in this country, Mission Enfance brings training to the youth and still supports the education of the most underprivileged.

In Gyumri, Mission Enfance organises entrepreneurship training for young craftsmen from the Endanik centre. This training in communication and management will enable these students to produce and sell their products at a national level.

We are also focusing on school sponsorship to support the education of 180 underprivileged children in the city of Gyumri, in our Boghossian and Endanik centres. Many of the young people are now, thanks to their sponsors, at university.
