SUPPORT FOR THE EDUCATION OF ARMENIAN YOUTH
Mission Enfance has been working for 31 years in Armenia. Faced with the great poverty of the Armenian population, we decided to focus on school sponsorship in order to support the education of the most underprivileged children in the city of Gyumri, 80% of which was razed to the ground by an earthquake in 1988. For many years, the school sponsorship of Mission Enfance's donors has also enabled many young people to enter universities.
Since 2020, the confinement linked to the pandemic and the conflict in Karabagh that sporadically resumes have added an additional misery to an already very poor country. We carry out permanent food distributions to displaced families from Karabagh in the north of the country, in Gyumri, via our Boghossian centre, and in Yerevan, via our local coordinator.
